In this episode, Allie looks at the Netflix docuseries “Death of the Pastor's Wife” which investigates the tragic death of Mica Miller and her marriage to Pastor John Paul “JP” Miller.  Allie makes the important distinction that JP’s abuse didn’t stem from biblical alignment, but complete disregard of scripture to satisfy his own lustful desires. Addressing his past which in no way displays a life in submission to scripture, Allie looks at both complementarianism and egalitarianism and why they are not to blame for JPs abuse or Mica’s death. Furthermore, Allie looks at the biblical structure of authority seen in scripture and how JP’s church should have exercised discipline towards him long before Mica’s death.
