And when we’re faithful to His Word, supernatural results take place.

People will tell you who they are by their behavior and their actions.

TRUTH IS NOT THE SAME AS PERCEPTION

We should be sticklers for words. What does the Bible actually say? What does a word actually mean? What does the context actually teach?

There is a difference between perception, opinion, and truth.

You can say, “This is my truth,” but that doesn’t make it truth. It may be your opinion, your feelings, or your perception.

The Word of God is the standard—not the little universe we’ve created in our own heads.

That’s why we have to study Scripture carefully.

DON’T GET WEIRD

We’re called to be in the world but not of the world.

“I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.”— John 17:15 NKJV

Some Christians become so afraid of the world that they can’t function in it.

They can’t handle discomfort.

They can’t handle hearing profanity.

They can’t miss a meal without becoming miserable.

They can’t be around unbelievers without becoming spiritually overwhelmed.

That’s not spiritual maturity.

The goal isn’t to build a bubble around ourselves.

The goal is to become strong enough in Christ that we can walk through the world without becoming part of it.

GROW UP IN THE WORD

New believers need milk.

Peter says:

“As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.”— 1 Peter 2:2 NKJV

But babies are supposed to grow.

Hebrews says:

“Solid food belongs to those who are of full age.”— Hebrews 5:14 NKJV

Eventually, we need to become skilled in the Word.

That’s why we don’t forsake assembling together:

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together.”— Hebrews 10:25 NKJV

You may never shake the pastor’s hand. You may never have a private conversation with the speaker.

But when the Word is preached and the Holy Spirit is moving, you can still be fed.

LEARN TO RECOGNIZE
