Matthew 7:21-27

* Words vs. Actions: Jesus warns that not everyone who calls Him "Lord" will enter the kingdom of heaven. Mere verbal profession is not enough.

* Empty Religious Performance: People might point to prophecies or miracles done in Jesus' name, but Jesus explains that an internal, genuine relationship and obedience to God matter more than outward showmanship.

* The Parable of the Two Builders: Jesus compares a person who hears His words and obeys them to a wise builder who builds a house on solid rock. The house survives the storm.

* The Foolish Builder: A person who hears Jesus' words and ignores them is like a foolish builder who builds on sand. When trouble or judgment comes, that house completely collapses.
