By Faith Isaac Invoked Future Blessings on Jacob and Esau
What does your future hold? That’s a question we all wish we had the answer to. We want to ensure that our future holds good things. Whether it’s the big promotion, the big prize, or the big opportunity. We want our kids and families to thrive, our church to be spirit-filled and led, our relationships to grow, and our dreams to become reality. So we make plans, set goals and expectations, and work hard. Even then, life still doesn't always go as we hoped. When it doesn’t, we often struggle to trust that God’s will and ways are better than our own. Even though we know he is over all, and we have seen him work in countless miraculous ways before, and we know that what lies ahead is best in his hands. We can make plans for tomorrow, but we don’t even know IF there will be a tomorrow, let alone WHAT tomorrow might bring.
This series, By Faith, has helped us remember that whatever God has in store for us, it is far better than anything we could ever come up with on our own, and we will continue to see this together on Sunday as we look at the life of Isaac. We have little control over what comes next, but we can trust the only God who has it all, if for no other reason than this: he is God; sovereign, supreme, and faithful.
