Rom 8:17b Suffering in the Life of the Believer (Part 1)

<p>In the same sentence where we learned that the believer is called an &#39;heir of God&#39; and a &#39;joint-heir with Christ&#39;, we&#39;re told that the believer will also suffer with Christ. Pastor/Dr. David Murphy, in his introduction to the believer&#39;s suffering shows us:</p><p>1-the peculiar nature of Christian suffering</p><p>2-the prophecies that the believer will suffer</p><p>3-the prominence of Christian suffering in Scripture, and</p><p>4-the purposes of Christian suffering:</p><p> i-assurance that you are God&#39;s child</p><p> ii-to prepare you for greater service and future glory</p><p> iii-to understand Christ&#39;s suffering</p><p> iv-to prepare us for future glory</p>
