VINCERRRROOOOOOOOOO!!

Dave and Tom dust off their shell suits, their BASF tellys, and prepare to take a nostalgic trip back to the glory days of sports on TV, when theme tunes were proper theme tunes and apparently every sporting event needed an orchestral fanfare big enough to announce the arrival of the Queen.

In this episode, the boys tackle some of the most iconic sports themes ever to grace the telly. From the unmistakable Snooker theme (Drag Racer) music so classy you can practically hear the balls being potted in a waistcoat... to the legendary F1 theme, (The Chain) which made even changing gear in a Ford Fiesta feel like a high-speed pursuit around Silverstone.

They'll also enter the arena for Gladiators, where the theme tune was louder than a shoulder pad and twice as subtle, before taking a trip to the iconic Channel 4 Racing theme, and Grandstand the BBC sporting institution that could somehow make everything from horse racing to rugby feel like the most important event since the moon landing.

Then of course...there’s Nessun Dorma, the operatic anthem that turned World Cup Italia 90 into a nationwide Italian restaurant commercial, and convinced millions of British viewers that they too understood opera. Nessun Dorma? More like Nessun Drama… although Dave and Tom may disagree.
