Kevin Carter came to Gainesville out of Lincoln High School in Tallahassee and left as one of the most decorated defensive linemen in Florida history — three SEC championships under Steve Spurrier, consensus first-team All-American in 1994, 21.5 career sacks and 42.5 tackles for loss. The Rams took him sixth overall in 1995, and he played fourteen NFL seasons with St. Louis, Tennessee, Miami and Tampa Bay: 104.5 career sacks, two Pro Bowls, and a Super Bowl XXXIV ring after leading the entire league with 17 sacks in 1999. Today he's a studio analyst for CBS Sports and one of three former Gators on the 2027 College Football Hall of Fame ballot.
