Russ Miller: The Disputers of This Age

Mary welcomes back Russ Miller to talk about what the Greco-Roman world referred to as their very own brand of professional intellectuals, logicians, and academic debaters who relied on philosophy, rhetoric, and argument to define truth. These disputers, as Paul calls them, were said to be “inquirers of truth” but many of us might wonder if they were ever, or are today, actually interested in truth! Today’s conversation with Russ is a bit different, taking the perspective of the unbeliever/atheist and in looking at Romans 1 in which we learn that all men know there is a Creator, and what it means when they deny it. We talk about the big bang and its origins, why skeptics refuse to believe in a Creator and why that might be a threat to them. We also look at their biggest questions, and add a few of our own. A fun and enlightning hour.
