Real Estate Red Flags

You walk into a house and immediately notice a stain on the ceiling.

Red flag.

The basement smells a little musty.

Another red flag.

The roof is getting older, the kitchen hasn't been updated in decades, and the floors need refinishing.

At what point do you stop seeing a home with a few projects and start seeing a property you should walk away from?

That's the question Melissa Wallace and Boston Connect Real Estate agent Tracy Grady tackled on a recent episode of Talk Real Estate Roundtable.

The important takeaway? A red flag doesn't automatically mean stop. It means pay attention.

As Melissa explained during the show, real estate red flags can often be divided into three categories:

Fix it. Negotiate it. Walk away.

Understanding the difference can help buyers make decisions based on facts rather than fear.
