The Bible & Mental Health - Part 1

Where should a believer turn first when life grows heavy — to the body, or to God? With this opening episode we launch a new series on Scripture and mental health, drawing a careful line between the clinical and the spiritual.

We confront two opposite errors: pretending faith makes us immune to grief, and handing every emotional struggle over to the world. We also respond to a trending claim that healing from painful religious experiences must begin with regulating the nervous system rather than turning to God.

From the man found "clothed and in his right mind" in Mark 5 to the sufficiency of Scripture in 2 Peter 1:3, we make our case: there is soundness of mind in being with the Son of God.

One note: this series does not address chemical imbalances or serious medical conditions requiring professional care — our focus is the emotional difficulties within our control, and the answers God has given for them.
