436: Unrestored Ferrari 275 GTB, the Perfect Alfa & We Miss the Daytona Cobra Estimate!
This week on The Collector Car Podcast, we're back with more incredible cars, great stories and one spectacular failure in automotive valuation.
We start at Concorso Italiano with an unrestored Ferrari 275 GTB, where Morgan and Nicholas from McPherson College join me for a closer look at what makes an original, unrestored Ferrari so special. The imperfections, finishes and evidence of its past are exactly what make a car like this so fascinating.
Then we discover something completely different: a reimagined Alfa Romeo that takes the restomod philosophy we associate with a Singer Porsche and applies it to one of Italy's great marques. The execution is extraordinary—and I think it may be the most perfect Alfa Romeo I've ever seen.
Finally, it's time for another round of Guess the Hammer.
This time, Greg Ingold and I tackle a Daytona Cobra and try to predict where the hammer will fall.
Two Gregs. A lot of collector-car experience. One legendary Cobra.
And we both miss the mark horribly.
A huge thank you to Broad Arrow Auctions, presenting sponsor of The Collector Car Podcast, for their continued support of the show and the collector car hobby.
