426: Estonia: A Lesson In Why Geography Matters

426: Estonia: A Lesson In Why Geography Matters9 sep44 min

You can find a country with a favourable tax setup, interesting residency options, great infrastructure, and plenty of things you genuinely like about it. But none of that exists in a vacuum.

You also have to look at where that country sits on the map, analyze the geopolitical risk surrounding it, and ask yourself, “Would I feel safe settling my family here?”

In this week’s episode, my co-host Marc Clair and I unpack the first part of my recent family trip through Europe, from our second home in Istanbul to my first-ever visit to Estonia. We highlight how the experience reinforced one of the biggest lessons I have learned from decades of living internationally and building a Plan-B: geography matters.

Enjoy!
