Former GOP Congressional Candidate Kim Klacik Joins Jesse Lee Peterson! (#473)

On this week's episode of TheFallenState TV, host Jesse Lee Peterson is joined by Kim Klacik—She is a radio talk show host and a former Maryland Congressional Nominee who was endorsed by Trump. Kim gained national attention during her 2020 campaign for Maryland’s 7th Congressional District, when her viral campaign video brought her widespread attention and earned an endorsement from President Donald Trump. Jesse and Kim discuss her political journey, her experiences as a Black Republican, and the challenges she believes communities face when it comes to crime, economic opportunity, government, and political leadership. They also get into the tensions surrounding race and party politics and what it means to challenge the political expectations placed on Black Americans. With two outspoken personalities willing to tackle controversial subjects head-on, the conversation covers plenty of ground and brings some strong disagreements and unexpected moments along the way.
