The Agents Who Win This Market Will Own Listings
A lot of real estate agents are starting to shy away from listings right now.
They’re sitting longer. Seller conversations are getting harder. The old “put it in the MLS and wait” approach is not enough anymore.
I want to go the other direction.
If you’re a real estate agent doing 5–10 deals a year and trying to grow toward 30, listings can become one of the most powerful leverage points in your business — but only if you do more than put a sign in the yard and hope.
In this episode, I break down how I think about listings differently, why harder listings can actually make great agents more visible, and how strong seller service can create proof, authority, content, conversations, and future opportunities.
Because a listing should not just be one transaction.
It can become a place where future clients get to watch how you actually do the job.
And that matters.
A listing gives you permission to show your work.
The key is keeping the seller first.
This is not about turning someone’s home into your personal lead-generation campaign. It’s about serving the seller at a high level, communicating better when the property gets hard to move, and using the lessons from that work to become a stronger, more visible agent.
We also talk about why the harder listing may be the one that proves you’re worth hiring, how listings can help you create better local conversations, and why your business should be the source of your content instead of constantly inventing things to post.
