6 Tries, 2 Points, 745 Wins the Day

Six tries scored, six conceded. Two points earned, three left behind. Tigers’ 38–40 defeat to Saracens was a frustrating start to the season, partly due to key players missing — but there was plenty in the attacking play to give David and Millie hope. We pick through the slow start, Gabriel Hamer-Webb’s hat-trick and the moments that decided it, before looking ahead to Newcastle. And we reflect on the 745 Game, which gave the day at Mattioli Woods Welford Road a meaning far beyond the result.
