Kyle is joined by Jesse James Gibbore, author of A Hallow Ruse, for a deep dive into the history, commercialization and spiritual implications of one of America's most popular holidays.

Jesse shares his own journey from a childhood fascination with horror and special-effects makeup to eventually deciding that Halloween would have no place in his children's upbringing. From there, Kyle and Jesse examine Samhain, All Hallows' Eve, All Saints' Day, the Reformation, early trick-or-treat traditions and the transformation of Halloween into a multibillion-dollar industry.

They also examine Aleister Crowley, Anton LaVey, modern occultism, Acts 19 and the biblical response to magical practices.

Finally, the conversation turns toward the church itself. Should Christians participate in Halloween? Are trunk-or-treat events actually different? And are Christian parents unknowingly normalizing spiritual darkness for their children?
