Does Sukkot Reveal How the Bible Ends?
<p>What does <em>Sukkot </em>have to do with the end of the Bible? </p><p>Maybe a lot more than you think.In this episode of TLV Talk, Daniah and Joseph Greenberg follow the Feast of Tabernacles from the wilderness all the way to the world to come. What begins in Leviticus as a remembrance of God dwelling with and providing for Israel reappears in a surprising place: Zechariah's prophecy of “that day,” when the nations come to Jerusalem to worship the King and celebrate <em>Sukkot</em>.</p><p>From Zechariah's <em>Sukkot </em>celebration to Isaiah's lavish banquet where death is swallowed up forever, Daniah and Joseph trace a biblical pattern that leads toward the wedding supper, the coming Kingdom, and Revelation's vision of a new heaven and new earth—where God will once again “tabernacle” among His people.</p><p>Could <em>Sukkot </em>actually be giving us a glimpse of where the entire biblical story is headed? And could the end times be less about escaping doom and more about looking forward to the King dwelling with His people?</p><p>The end of the Bible is good news.
