182: From Home Bakers to Business Makers with Grayson Hogard

Maurice sits down with Grayson Hogard, co-founder of Grove Cookie Company with his wife, Marie. Grayson spent 14 years working in logistics at Bonneville Power Administration, part of the U.S. Department of Energy, while Marie had a corporate career of her own.

During the pandemic, a simple baking hobby turned into selling cookies from their townhouse, then corporate gifting, a production facility, employees, and eventually a high six-figure business that allowed Grayson to leave his government career.

Their journey is a real-life example of several Try Life On principles: employment is a resource to build life, go from “If Only” to “What If,” find the “Who” instead of studying the “What” forever, and just do and course correct along the way. They didn’t have every detail figured out before they started. They used what they knew, asked for help with what they didn’t, followed opportunities as they appeared, and kept moving.

For anyone sitting in a traditional job wondering how life could feel different, this conversation offers a practical example. You don’t need to build a $20 million company or chase someone else’s definition of success. You can start from exactly where you are, experiment alongside the life you already have, and gradually create more income, time, confidence, relationships and freedom.

Listen to Grayson and Marie’s story through that lens, and ask yourself: What could I start trying on from exactly where I am today?

Connect with Grayson!

Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/graysonhogard/

Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/graysonhogard/

Connect with Maurice

Try Life On Newsletter: https://www.trylifeon.com/blog?tag=newsletter

Email: maurice@trylifeon.com

Website: https://www.trylifeon.com

LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mauricephilogene
