<p>For six years, Dr Sam Bailey squared up to the Medical Council of New Zealand during a prolonged campaign of corruption, lawfare, and sheer vindictiveness. She was characterised as presenting a “serious risk of harm to the public”, despite no evidence of such a charge. Fined to the value of NZ$250,000, Sam was entered into bankruptcy via a deceit by a state which did not even inform her.</p><p>After much soul-searching, and to avoid state seizure of her assets, Sam has set up a funding page which asks, ‘<a href="https://www.givesendgo.com/can-you-help-dr-sam">Can You Help Dr Sam?</a>’. Meeting the target will also allow her to continue the work which has been so valuable to so many since 2020.
