The Head Ball Coach Interview w/MJ.

What happens when a football fan finds a simulation deep enough to turn Saturdays on the field into year-round strategy?

On this episode of Vigilantes Radio Live, Coach Dini sits down with MJ, an active player and advocate for Head Ball Coach, a college football simulation built around the decisions that happen long before kickoff.

MJ isn’t the owner or creator of Head Ball Coach—he’s approaching the conversation from the perspective that matters most to this episode: someone who actually plays the game, studies its systems, competes within its world, and believes more college-football fans should experience what it offers.

Coach Dini and MJ go inside the strategy behind building a successful program—from recruiting and roster development to coaching staffs, transfers, finances, schemes, analytics, long-term planning, and multiplayer competition.

But Head Ball Coach isn’t simply about choosing plays.

It’s about making decisions.

Do you chase immediate wins or build for the future? How much patience do you have when developing talent? What happens when your recruiting plan falls apart? Can you adapt when another player understands your strategy? And how much does the way you build a virtual football program reveal about the way you think about leadership and competition?

MJ also breaks down what drew him into the Head Ball Coach community, why he has become an advocate for the simulation, what separates it from a traditional football video game, and why the rivalry, strategy, and community surrounding it keep him coming back.

If you’re the type of college-football fan who believes the real game begins with recruiting, developing, competing, adjusting, and doing it all over again, this conversation is for you.
