For October, I’m bringing back one of my most chilling interviews—my conversation with Roy Stubblefield about his terrifying encounter with what he describes as a werewolf in New Orleans in July 1981.

You may recognize Roy from Travel Channel’s These Woods Are Haunted, Season 3, Episode 3. Roy wasn’t happy with how his encounter was portrayed, so I wanted to give him the opportunity to tell the story himself, in his own words, and set the record straight about what happened that night.

This interview was originally recorded over two years ago, when my podcast was still called The Sensible Hippie Podcast, so you’ll hear that name throughout the recording.

And please excuse the quality of some of the older footage—this comes from an earlier chapter of the show.

Roy and I actually talked for an incredible SIX HOURS straight. Because of the length, the interview had to be split, and what you’re watching here is the first three hours of that conversation.

This is one of those interviews that has stayed with me, and with October here, I thought it was the perfect time to bring Roy’s story back.
