The Fascinating History of the Girl Scouts

Who would’ve guessed that the guy who founded the Scout Movement was actually a British colonizer who took part in slaughtering thousands in the Boer Wars? Well, it’s true.

This week, you’ll learn all about Robert Baden-Powell and his scout mission, whose sister and wife worked alongside him to help create the Girl Guides.

Then, you’ll learn how the Girl Scouts came to the United States, and about various controversies throughout the organization’s history in the states, and worldwide.
