Ready Comes After You Start EP 433

Ready Comes After You Start EP 43314 okt3 min

Have you ever told yourself, “I’ll do it when I feel ready”?

I certainly have. And sometimes there are good reasons to wait. We need information, resources or a little room in the schedule.

But sometimes “I’m not ready” means something more like, “I’d really like to know this is going to work before I try it.”

Wouldn’t that be nice?

To feel confident before the first attempt. To know exactly what to say before the conversation. To have the whole plan figured out before taking the first step.

Except so often, ready comes after we start.

Think about learning something new. You can watch the videos, read the instructions and ask someone to explain it. Those things help. But there’s a different kind of understanding that only shows up when you actually try.

You discover which questions you need to ask. You figure out what’s easier than you expected and what needs a little more practice.

Clarity works that way too. Sometimes I can think about a project for days and still feel unsure. Then I start writing or talking it through, and suddenly there’s something to work with.

The first attempt gives me information that thinking alone couldn’t provide.

And inspiration? Sometimes it shows up once we’re already doing the work.

So today, if you’ve been waiting to feel ready, consider making the first step smaller.
