Davido & Shizzi, Asake & Blaqbonez Go Again, TML and BNXN projects. | Ep. 125

In this episode of #ATTWSpace, we dive into the latest happenings across the Nigerian music scene, starting with a breakdown of the TurnTable Charts Top 10 and what the current rankings say about the artists and songs dominating the moment.

We get into a packed run of new music, sharing our thoughts on releases from Blaqbonez, Asake, Lojay, TML Vibez, BNXN, Mr Eazi, Moliy, Yôrkk, Codawho and more. We also discuss Fola’s concert at Agodi Gardens in Ibadan, the energy around his growing run, and what live presence like this means for him.

The conversation then moves to YCEE and his comments on Wiilii, followed by a look at Ayra Starr’s “Heaven Baby” music video and the creative direction behind the video. We also get into the ongoing conversation around Davido and Shizzi, revisiting their history, as we got caught in the middle last week about how the song dami duro actually came into existence.

We also discuss Fireboy DML’s “Zuko” rollout as he has a lot to on in the Red Couch Sessions.

As always, it’s a full episode of music, opinions, industry conversations and plenty of hot takes on everything shaping Afrobeats right now.
