Input vs Output Metrics

When I reached 10,000 followers on Twitter, a bunch of people congratulated me.

But I wanted them to congratulate me for something else: the 50,000 tweets I had uploaded.

There's a difference between input metrics and output metrics.

One measures the work you put in. The other measures the results you get.

In this episode, I share my experience growing on Twitter and explain why I believe the effort deserves just as much recognition as the outcome.
