USC will remain involved in annual L.A. homeless count as responsibilities transfer to county officials

<p>The Los Angeles County Homeless Services and Housing Department are set to take over the annual L.A. homeless count and federal grant responsibilities in 2028, pending federal approval. The USC Center for Homelessness, Housing and Health Equity Research, which formerly partnered with the L.A. Homeless Services Authority to produce the count, will remain involved even after the transfer of responsibilities.</p>
