[212-2026] Nasdaq Record High, Yields Near 20-Year Peak, Earnings Season Ahead
<p>The Nasdaq climbed to a fresh record high powered by Nvidia and the tech rally, while the Dow slipped as the ten-year Treasury yield rose to 5.32 percent, near its highest level in two decades. The ISM services index accelerated to 55.9, but its prices component jumped to 74, keeping inflation worries alive ahead of the Q3 earnings season with PepsiCo, Delta Air Lines and Levi's on deck. In Europe, the DAX stalled as political uncertainty in France and Spain pushed bond yields higher, with Spain's Prime Minister Sanchez calling snap elections. Asia traded mostly higher in thin holiday trade as China's Golden Week continued.
