Movie Mindset #48 - Barry Lyndon

Greetings Minders, Will here, and to kick off this season, I wanted to do another one-movie episode with Felix like we did last year with CASINO, and I knew I wanted it to be another movie that has cast a long shadow over both my personal mind palace and the chapo extended universe. I wanted it to be another movie that I could easily count as both “my favorite movie of all time” as well as argue that it is “the best movie of all time” *and* I wanted it to be a movie Felix had never seen. And there is only one film that fits that bill, Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece BARRY LYNDON.

Travel back to the 18th century, take ten paces, cock your pistols, aim, fire and witness the rise and fall of an Irish asshole. Good or bad, handsome or ugly, rich or poor, we will all be equal soon.

As with all our miniseries, this first episode of the season is free on all platforms. All subsequent eps will be available exclusively at patreon.com/chapotraphouse
