<p>Following God requires more than inspiration. It requires real, sometimes costly change. The rich young ruler came to Jesus eager and qualified, but when Jesus asked him to let go of his wealth, he walked away sad, choosing comfort over calling. Matthew, by contrast, left everything behind the moment Jesus called him, and his obedience immediately became a platform for others to encounter Christ. The adjustments God asks will look different for everyone, but everyone who follows Jesus is called to change something. You cannot stay where you are and go with God at the same time.</p>
