Building Through Uncertainty
There are seasons when you simply don't know what comes next. Your job may feel uncertain. Your organization may be changing. Your business, finances, ministry, or personal life may be in transition. And when answers are limited, it can be tempting to put everything on hold until you have clarity.
But uncertainty does not mean you stop building.
In this episode of Embracing Pivotal Moments, Dr. Tonya Williams explores what it means to keep moving and building even when the future is unclear. Instead of allowing uncertainty to control your progress, this season can become an opportunity to strengthen your skills, increase your capacity, build better systems, deepen relationships, and continue developing the people around you.
Dr. Williams also challenges us to shift our focus from predicting what will happen next to preparing for whatever comes next. Prediction says, "I need to know what's coming." Preparation says, "Whatever comes, I'm going to be ready."
One of the most important reminders from this conversation is that uncertainty is not a permanent address. You may be in an uncertain place today, but you are still walking through it. Eventually, greater clarity will come. The question is: What will you have built along the way?
Your Pivotal Moment
Identify one area of uncertainty in your life and ask yourself:
What can I build right now that will serve me regardless of how this turns out?
Maybe it's a skill, a relationship, your finances, your confidence, your leadership, your faith, or even someone else. Identify it and start building. Don't wait for complete clarity or for everything around you to settle. Build while you're walking through it.
