Russell Williams - Faith is Not a Work

What do you think is worth working for? What is it that drives you, what do you put your energy into and why do you do it?

Today Russell Williams brings us a message from John chapter 6 - just after Jesus feeds the 5000. In this passage Jesus instructs his followers to prioritise eternal life over temporary, physical satisfaction.

It's a passage where Jesus commends their exertion, but not their purpose. The point that Jesus goes on to make is that we are safe because God does the work to save us. It's not about our work, but trusting Him to make us secure.

Russell Williams is the lead pastor of Shore Hope Presbyterian Church in Redland Bay. Shore Hope is a growing church for a growing community, that exists to grow in Jesus’ love, show Jesus’ love, and share Jesus’ love.

Shore Hope meet every Sunday in two locations:

8:30am - a traditional service held in the Redlands Presbyterian Church, 164 Colburn Ave, Victoria Point. 10:30am - an all ages service meets in the Performing Arts Complex of the Redland Bay State School. Find more information at www.shorehope.church
