But These are Written - Episode 180

<p>The sunny weather reminds me of California, and a particular day, in the month of May 1973. We were living on the mountain in a tipi, I was pregnant, and we needed to find a new location. Thomas met a guy hitchhiking, who took us to his Christian commune, near Mendocino. As you have heard in the older episodes, we were told that Jesus is alive and we prayed to him, late that night while laying on the wooden floor. Early the next morning we were on Highway 1, waiting for a ride to our tipi. We had a conversation like we never could have imagined. Thomas said; “I guess we are Christians now, but we are not going to be like those who go around preaching, that Jesus saves.” Little did we know, that specific goal, would become our lifelong mission. Actually, in that moment standing in the grass by that coastal road, we were saying goodbye to our past!</p><p>I saw a quote recently that said: “Sometimes you don’t realize how far God has brought you, and carried you, until you tell your story our loud. Then you are reminded of God’s miracles in every moment of your life. So here’s another episode about following Jesus. One thing we knew, is that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. And that meant, through faith we have eternal life through His Name!</p><p><br></p>
