Ep 66: “I’m an IVF doctor going through IVF”—a conversation with Dr. Sasha Hakman8 Sept41 min

What happens when your fertility doctor goes through IVF herself?

We’re talking to Dr. Sasha Hakman, an OB-GYN and reproductive endocrinologist, about her own fertility journey and how being a patient has shaped the way she practices medicine.

We get into what personalized fertility care actually looks like, the emotional reality of failed cycles, nutrition and lifestyle, family history, preventative care, and why finding good information online can be harder than it sounds. We also talk about access to fertility care, getting a second opinion, and the questions researchers are still trying to answer.

Plus, Dr. Sasha shares her IVF rituals, favorite snacks, and what she wishes more patients knew before starting treatment.
