Mary and Martha

Have you ever noticed that the things demanding your attention aren’t necessarily the things most deserving of it? In Luke 10:38–42, Martha is busy with things that matter, but Jesus tells her she has lost sight of what matters most. Together with Paul’s words in Philippians 3, her story challenges us to consider what has gotten out of order in our own lives and what changes when knowing Christ becomes our greatest pursuit.
