A Deer Stand on Her Head, Firecrackers in His Pocket & One Very Bad Airbnb | Episode 187

A deer stand winds up on somebody’s head, firecrackers get lit in the worst possible place, a “great deal” on a Gatlinburg Airbnb keeps getting worse, and a Louisiana couple brings the kind of stories that never seem to end where you think they will.

Frederick and Amy also eventually reveal what brought them all the way from Louisiana to sit down with us, and the episode takes a much more personal turn when Frederick shares a powerful story about alcohol, family, faith, and the events that finally changed the direction of his life. We close with Philippians 4:14–23 and a conversation about giving—not just money, but our time, talents, and resources—as an act of worship.
