8/30/26 - Danica Smith & Sue Riney, with Susan G. Komen's MORE THAN PINK Walk
The 2026 Komen "More Than Pink Walk" takes place at Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo Saturday, September 26. It's a perfect day to gather for a gentle walk at the zoo, to help raise funds for research, and for supporting the women facing breast cancer. The goal this year is $200,000, one that together we can easily reach. 7,710 women are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer in Washington state alone this year, and 960 are expected to die from it. The numbers are terrible, so it's important to do all we can to confront them. Danica Smith is the local Development Director for Komen in this area, and Sue Riney is a breast cancer survivor, having faced the disease three times. She is highly encouraging about having regular mammograms.www.komen.org/seattlewalk
