Ep. 40 - The Year I Finally Learned to Love Myself

The night before I turned 38, something clicked.

I was in the car with Brian, on our way to a holiday party, when I suddenly started seeing my entire life differently. The relationships, the grief, the rock bottoms, the decisions, the versions of myself I'd spent years trying to understand.

And for the first time in my life, I could genuinely say: I really fucking love who I am.

And I meant it. Every part of it. Even the parts I'd spent years rejecting.

In this episode, I'm sharing why 38 has been one of the most transformational years of my life, what I've realized about self-abandonment, people-pleasing, boundaries, and the parts of ourselves we learn to dislike because someone else couldn't appreciate them.

We get into the patterns that keep showing up in our lives, how years of inner work can finally click into place, and why learning to love yourself is so much deeper than any self-care ritual.

I'm also sharing a journal prompt I've been loving lately: What do I want to remember about this season of my life?

Because sometimes you look back at everything you've been through and realize just how much you love the person it's all made you.

Here's to turning up the volume on our inner cheerleader. ❤️

If something in this episode resonates, come tell me. I genuinely love hearing your stories.

Instagram: @laurajanela_
