D-backs 2026 Report Card: Who Stepped Up, Who Fell Short & Who Matters Most in 2027?

Who ACTUALLY helped the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2026? We break down the biggest breakouts, pleasant surprises and disappointments from the D-backs’ season, including Gabriel Moreno, Eduardo Rodriguez, Nolan Arenado, Ryan Waldschmidt, Ketel Marte, Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly. We also look at the players who matter most moving forward and whose role could change the most in 2027. Plus, the MLB postseason is heating up! The Dodgers and Brewers have both advanced to the NLCS, setting up a rematch of last year’s National League Championship Series. Can Milwaukee finally get past Los Angeles, or are the Dodgers on their way to another World Series? And we have a VERY important offseason proposal: the D-backs need their own sing-along song at Chase Field and we think “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World is the obvious choice.
