This week marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks in New York City. I was both a New Yorker and a baseball writer at the time, and being there that day brings back awful, awful memories. But today, I want to dive into what happened 10 days later, on September 21, 2001, at Shea Stadium, and the HOPE that baseball brought America that night.
