What's going on with the mental health of our students? What can parents do to help them? What about teachers and school administrators?

Lt. Robert Henry (Ret.) interviews Dr. Amanda Malixi, exploring these ideas in our very first Podcast episode featuring a guest.

Dr. Amanda Malixi is a doctoral-level Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S, EdD) credentialed in complex trauma (CCTP-II), integrative mental health (CIMHP), nonviolent crisis intervention (CPI), and school behavioral threat assessment.

For a decade as Clinical Director of a nationally recognized counseling program at a secondary school, she worked directly with administrators and security teams on crisis response, threat assessment, and the long-term recovery of students and staff navigating high-stakes incidents. Prior to that, she served as Head Adolescent Therapist in psychiatric inpatient care, managing an acute inpatient psychiatric unit.

She founded Gravitas Excelsa Center, a private integrative mental health practice, and developed the Resilient Minds Model — a clinical framework addressing nervous system regulation, trauma, identity, gut-brain health, and spiritual formation together.

Dr. Malixi brings what security professionals rarely have in the room — a clinician with threat assessment training who has worked inside institutions before, during, and long after the crisis ends.

Learn more at https://gravitasexcelsa.com/ or reach out at hello@gravitasexcelsa.com

Thanks for watching the SAFESECURE 360 Podcast.
