162. What If It's Not Behavior? The OT Clues Parents Miss with Sarah Collins, OT
In this episode, I talk with pediatric occupational therapist and homeschool consultant Sarah Collins about the clues parents often see before they know what those clues mean.
We discuss sensory processing, handwriting and reading struggles, movement, interoception, proprioception, outdoor and risky play, occupational therapy, and how to tell when a child may need more than a different curriculum. Sarah also shares practical ways homeschool parents can observe their children, work with their strengths, build a support team, and recognize when the parent may need support too.
