Are Dragons Real? Richard Freeman on Modern Sightings | S6E11

Are dragons real? Cryptozoologist Richard Freeman joins Strange & Mysterious World to explore modern dragon sightings, ancient dragon mythology and what witnesses say they encountered.

Richard recounts a reported encounter at Waverley Abbey in Surrey and discusses his interviews with five witnesses. From African flying serpents to Asian water dragons, we explore why dragon stories appear across cultures—and whether familiar animals, folklore or something stranger could explain them.

The conversation ventures into Richard’s “Global Monster Template” theory, consciousness, tulpas and thought forms, his account of a fairy encounter on Dartmoor, parallels with UFO experiences, and the mysteries surrounding Loch Ness.

These are reported experiences, folklore and speculative interpretations, explored through an open-minded conversation.
