Shortstop Malachi Butler, a Georgia Tech commit and top prospects for the 2027 MLB Draft, joins On the Clock after a big summer that ended with MVP honors at the PBR All-American Game in Miami. The McEachern High School standout and reigning Cobb County Player of the Year talks about growing up in his dad's training facility watching pro hitters work, what the deep East Cobb talent pool taught him, and how he led McEachern to its first region title in more than a decade. Malachi explains his approach to stealing bases (61 in his high school career so far), why he picked Coach James Ramsey and the Yellow Jackets, and what he's learned about not forcing anything with scouts watching his every move. He also previews representing Team USA in the Dominican Republic this October.
