(LISTEN): Missouri Attorney General Hanaway reacts to state Supreme Court decision on "Wake Up Missouri"

Barring intervention from the U.S. Supreme Court, Missouri voters will cast ballots in November on a referendum which will ask if they accept or reject the congressional map approved by the GOP-controlled Legislature in September 2025. In a 7-0 decision, the state Supreme Court reversed the Cole County Circuit Court's decision that the state Constitution's referendum power does not apply to the Legislature's congressional redistricting. Democrats praise the ruling and say the court followed the law, but Republicans blast it. Attorney General Catherine Hanaway calls the ruling a disaster for Missouri voters.
