<p>For nearly two weeks, over 1,000 international graduates — most of them from Punjab, India — have been protesting in Calgary, staging a hunger strike after their Post-Graduation Work Permit applications were rejected en masse.</p><p><br></p><p>Yesterday, CBSA officers showed up directly at the protest site, checking immigration documents and flagging 12 people as possibly inadmissible to Canada.</p><p><br></p><p>Danielle Smith backed the move, saying a student visa was always meant to be temporary.
