Greg Alba & Roxy Striar are checking out Buddy (2026) aka the terrifying Buddy the Unicorn for the first time! What starts like a cheerful ’90s children’s show quickly turns into a surreal horror-comedy about kids trapped inside Buddy’s colorful television world, where singing along and following the rules might be their only way to stay safe. Greg & Roxy try to make sense of Buddy’s creepy songs, Freddy pushing back against him, the journey to Diamond City, Dark Buddy, and an ending that somehow gets even stranger the longer you think about it!

Directed by Casper Kelly (Too Many Cooks, Adult Swim Yule Log), Buddy stars Keegan-Michael Key as Buddy the Unicorn (Key & Peele, Wonka), Cristin Milioti as Grace (The Penguin, Palm Springs), Delaney Quinn as Freddy (Law & Order, New Amsterdam), Topher Grace as Ben (That ’70s Show, BlacKkKlansman), Michael Shannon as Charlie the Train and Willie (Man of Steel, The Shape of Water), and Patton Oswalt as Strappy (Ratatouille, A.P. Bio).

After the reaction, Greg & Roxy discuss the movie’s twisted children’s-show atmosphere, surreal puppets and practical effects, surprisingly catchy songs, disturbing imagery, bizarre comedy, and what its nightmarish story might be saying about childhood entertainment and forced positivity.
