Your ovaries retire and your adrenals get the promotion. Nobody mentions that part.
Dr. Candice Knight is back to talk about menopause from the quantum biology side, because listeners wrote in and asked for it. She almost refused to prescribe hormone replacement therapy when she left conventional medicine, reasoning that nature does not make mistakes. Then a mentor asked her which organ takes over hormone production after the ovaries stop. The answer is the adrenal glands. Which explains a lot about why some women barely notice menopause and others get flattened by it.
She and Meredith get into the parts of this conversation that mainstream menopause podcasts skip. Why brain fog and tip of the tongue syndrome are two separate problems. What morning light and UVB at midday have to do with hormone production. Why hormone replacement works better, at a lower dose, when the circadian foundation is already in place. The cancer question, answered without hedging. And why estrogen should never be taken by mouth.
There is also a stretch about divorce clustering when children hit their twenties, a story about a nanny from Montserrat who did not know what menopause symptoms were, and a moment where Meredith realizes on air that she has an unsent email about her daughter's teacher and that it might not be about the teacher at all.
The takeaway is not that you should white-knuckle this. It is that the foundation makes everything else work better, including the medicine.
