Talarico actually IS doing the work with Texas' black voters
<p>Whether Donald Trump uses his Thursday night address to relitigate Georgia's 2020 election was yet to be seen as of the Tuesday prior, but what's apparent aside from that is this: </p><p>Democrats seem to know how to snatch "defeat" from the jaws of "victory" all too often the last decade-plus. </p><p>Between the hand-wringing by centrists like James Carville and the "vote is in play" tease Bill Maher to "sour grapes" supporters of Rep. Jasmine Crockett in Texas, there are factions forgetting their own mantra: "vote blue, no matter who" when a progressive wins a primary. </p><p>Well James Talarico isn't apologizing for defeating Crockett (nor should he), but he Is <a href="https://www.texastribune.org/2026/07/20/texas-james-talarico-black-voters-town-hall-houston-2026-senate/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferer"><em><strong>"doing the work"</strong></em></a> to show black voters in Texas his message should appeal to them. </p>
