The Shadow - "The House That Death Built" (Old Time Radio)

From The Shadow: “The House That Death Built,” originally broadcast January 25, 1948. Common old-time-radio logs list it as episode 432, though some guides use alternate overall numbering. This archival presentation features Bret Morrison as Lamont Cranston/The Shadow and Grace Matthews as Margot Lane; the story was written by Alfred Bester.

When a blizzard strands Lamont and Margot at an isolated, grotesque old mansion, they find a group of uneasy strangers and a house with a sinister history. With the storm closing in, the Shadow investigates a deadly maze of secrets and execution-themed traps.

The Shadow presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
