KEVIN HOYT: Were Tartarians Locked in Mental Hospitals to Silence Them? PLUS the COVID–Lyme Connection
Were people who remembered a very different version of our past deliberately labeled mentally ill and institutionalized? And what is modern immunoengineering uncovering about the striking similarities between chronic Lyme disease and Long COVID?
Kevin Hoyt returns with Michael Jaco for another wide-ranging investigation into Tartarian history, mental institutions, suppressed knowledge, chronic illness and emerging research from MIT.
Kevin takes Michael into theories surrounding Tartaria and the enormous mental hospitals and asylums constructed across America, questioning who was placed inside them, what happened to those people and whether some individuals who challenged the accepted historical narrative were institutionalized and silenced.
The conversation then turns to health—and a fascinating area of current scientific research.
MIT immunoengineer Dr. Michal “Mikki” Tal and her research group are studying infection-associated chronic illnesses including chronic Lyme disease and Long COVID, examining similarities and overlaps in immune responses, neurological symptoms and why some patients recover while others develop prolonged illness. MIT's MAESTRO study specifically compares responses to Lyme disease and COVID-19 while searching for measurable biomarkers.
Kevin and Michael explore what those similarities could mean, while going far beyond the established research into Kevin's own conclusions and questions about the origins and nature of these illnesses.

MIT researchers describe Long COVID and chronic Lyme as related infection-associated chronic illnesses with important similarities and overlaps, while the CDC likewise notes that prolonged symptoms following Lyme disease can resemble symptoms reported after infections including COVID-19.
What if some of the most important clues—about our history AND our health—are hiding in places most people never think to look?
